CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
Introducing Children to Jesus
Children are so precious! At Amherst we have several different children's classes available to help even the youngest children begin to learn how much Jesus loves them! We have a secure check-in system so that parents can have peace of mind knowing their child is safe.
SUNDAY MORNINGS:
We offer classes for Elementary Aged children and children 5 years old and younger during our Study Hour.
During the worship service, we offer a special class for children who are 5 years old and younger so that Moms and Dads can focus on the Pastor's message easier.
Children over the age of 5 are welcomed and encouraged to join the adults for the main Worship Service. We offer children's bulletins and youth sermon notes pages to help teach the younger children to engage with the adults during worship. Then, on the third Sunday of the month, we offer Children's Church with a specialized lesson for children in Kindergarten - 6th Grade during the sermon portion of the service.
We also have a Cry Room available at the back of the Sanctuary where caregivers can go with infants during the Main Worship Service. From this room, they can care for the needs of their infant while still hearing and seeing the service.

SONLIGHTERS
Senior Adult Ministry
As seniors at Amherst Community Church, we seek to promote, encourage and maintain fellowship and dignity of senior citizens, 55 years and better.
We seek to build our lives around Matthew 5:16, to let our light shine to others and seek to reflect Jesus, the True Light.
Throughout the year, we gather as a group to enjoy a short day trips followed by a meal at a local restaurant. In the past, we have visited P. Grahm Dunn, taken a historical canal boat ride, visited local craftsman and museums as well as toured historical homes. We also enjoy collective birthday parties twice a year.
We seek to celebrate life by enjoying time together and having new experiences throughout the year!
We invite you to joins us!
