Homeschool Co-Op

Learning and growing together.

Are you looking for a homeschool group to help build a community for you and your children? Learning and growing together in a Christ-centered community is important for kids of all ages! You are invited to join us on this journey!

 Schedule:

Tuesdays from 1:00-3:30

Spring Quarter

(March 12th - May 14th)

No class March 26th for spring break.

  • Bible: Hands-On Bible!

We'll dive into the Word of God while connecting with real life analogies and examples to bring the scriptures to life in a meaningful and memorable way.

  • History: Native North Americans

We will take a historical look at the culture of Native North Americans using curriculum from The Good and the Beautiful. From the Arctic and Subarctic regions to the costal and plains regions, we'll explore what life was like for these people groups. As our knowledge and understanding of history increases, we will better understand the diversity of this Nation.

  • Home Economics

Parents and students will take turns sharing some of their expertise with us as we explore cooking, gardening, crafting, music, and more! Parents will sign up for dates and topics of their choice. (Occasional supplies may need to be brought in for class.)

Cost

For the Spring Session and the three classes outlined above, there is a one time fee of $30 per student.

(*Moving forward into future quarters, fees may vary as classes change in order to cover the materials needed.)

SONLIGHTERS

Senior Adult Ministry

As seniors at Amherst Community Church, we seek to promote, encourage and maintain fellowship and dignity of senior citizens, 55 years and better.

We seek to build our lives around Matthew 5:16, to let our light shine to others and seek to reflect Jesus, the True Light.

Throughout the year, we gather as a group to enjoy a short day trips and meals at a local restaurants. In the past, we have visited P. Grahm Dunn, taken a historical canal boat ride, visited local craftsman and museums as well as toured historical homes.

We seek to celebrate life by enjoying time together and having new experiences throughout the year!

We invite you to joins us!
